March newsletter

Here's a new departure. Since launching our new website in January, we've been having a play with the various features. One of these is this newsletter function. We've downloaded the member database on to the new site, hosted by a company called Acclipse, and that's where this newsletter is coming from.

Those of you who did the Port Nelson Summer Sea swim Series or the associated Clements Windows and Doors Endurance Series will also be familiar with our new entry system, hosted by another company, Active Networks. We've used that very successful system for the online entries to our next set of events, the Shoe Clinic Mountainbike Duathlon Series. You can check out that website by clicking here.

You'll notice some of the same features of last year's series - leaders' jerseys, T-shirts for age group winners and three pairs of Brooks Shoes. Added to the prize pool this year is a Ridge Rider mountainbike, courtesy of Avanti and a luxury night's accommodation in the Nelson region, provided by Wildside Travel. There's more to come.

The course will be similar, but not the same as previous years, with a 5.5km bike circuit repeated twice for the short race and three times for the long race. We'll shortly have a map on the entry website.

Thanks to the new website, we're able to update very rapidly, so you'll know about the record number of Nelson triathletes heading to Australia for the sprint, standard and long distance world championships in September. You can also catch up on other recent news. If you haven't yet looked at the website, do it now (click the logo at the top of this page).

Lost property
